Look Out For Wobble-stones!

So after leaving the beyond creepy doll museum, we started wandering around the Suomenlina island.  You can wander around most of the island, and it was such a lovely day, a freezing day, but a lovely one, so we just wandered around...

I must not have fully recovered from the Creepy Dolls from Hell Museum because I kept stumbling on the cobblestones.  And yes I know what you are thinking, I fall over constantly so what makes today any different.

I have thusly renamed these cobblestones as "wobble-stones" because that's pretty much what I did for the rest of the day...

There were lots of ruins that we could walk around in...

And pose in...

And yes, do bits in...

Then I had a serious case of the "Wobble-stones"...

No really I'm great...

No, I'm fine, don't help me guys...

After wandering around in the ruins for a while, you could head up to the dunes and walk around...

It's really lovely here, but man it is starting to get reeeeaaaally cold...

So we had to pull out the scarves and hoodies to deal with the wind...

We started to follow the marked path at first, which seemed like a smart play because lets face it we are all clumsy idiots...

And the paths went right up the edge, which had a lovely view of the Baltic Sea? I'm assuming its that, but I was absent the day they taught geography, so whatever sea or ocean or river or canal it was, it looked lovely...

But enough of this scenery B.S., there was an unmarked path that looked more interesting and probably way more perish-y...

So of course we all want to go up there...

Though when we saw this sign, we were slightly apprehensive...

But as many of you know, we will do anything for a good bit, including jumping off the side here because it would make a really cool photo!

Look Ma, no hands!

Asan jumped off the other side but had a change of heart at the last minute...

As did Jeff...

Just kidding, what kind of idiots do you think we are?!?!

The only thing we didn't really consider while being on completely the other side of the island from the tourist center...

Is that the weather is super unpredictable in Finland and can change at any moment, and start pouring down rain when its 38 degrees out...

Uhm guys...

RUN!!!

FASTER!!

I don't think that is gonna work Jeff...

So we managed to find one place to hide for a minute...

It sorta was like a cave, or with our luck, it probably used to be a sewer, good times!

And as we ran back to the visitor center as the "rain" kept coming down harder and harder...

Is that it in fact was not rain pouring down on us...

But ice! F, it was coooooold!

So while we waiting for the ferry back to Helsinki, we had a little local nosh and a local beer made on the island!

Now we are heading back to town to get ready for a nice dinner, and probably some evening shenanigans...

Thats all for now, näkemiin! (that's goodbye in Finnish)
