Turns out we might have booked the Segway tour for May 3rd!
Today is May 9th...
Soooo, yeah looks like we aren't going to get to Segway today, but fingers crossed that we are able to do it tomorrow. The shop owner said he can hopefully squeeze us in tomorrow because good lord me on wheels, that post is gonna be gold!
Anyhoo, we decided that since we were already out and about why not just do our own wanderings because you know the 4 of us combined should be able to navigate, right? Uhh...
We started wandering and wandering and wandering, we figured we would just stumble across things...
And we did, I think this was part of the Palace...or something, it was lovely, and big. And Jeff decided to join the Danish guard...
Copenhagen is a beautiful city, everywhere you look its just cool, and pretty, absolutely no idea what any of the buildings are, but they look nice!
And once again the weather decided to say "hey stupid Americans, welcome to Denmark, here's some rain"...
And then we got a little lost, shocker...
Or a lot lost...
Depending on how you see things...
So we asked this statue which way we should go, figured it can't hurt...
Jeff and Jon were still on their high from Eurovision, and their obsession with "Twin Twin" and finding his mustache continues...
We did a bit of shopping...
Actually, on second thought, I think that picture up at the top is Parliament? Uhh, this one is the palace, or where they keep the crown jewels...
For some reason, Jeff was bored by it...
I don't know why...
It's gorgeous! The only reason we know that it is where they have the crown jewels is we thought we could just walk in and the guard yelled at us. Uhh, okay settle down everyone...
Jon did get them back because he had to visit the toilet and to quote William Shakespeare "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark"...
And its Jon...
After the royal flush we headed on over to Hans Christen Andersen-ville to check out the statue of the Little Mermaid, she is the most famous landmark in all of Denmark...
It was tricky to get down to it, you had to climb down all these rocks to get there...
Looks like Disney made a few changes to Ariel cuz this chick has her boobies hanging out for everyone to see...
That little twerp in the background ruined my photo, but the boys let it go because he was French and he might know "Twin Twin"...
And thats when we found the stairs...what a bunch of idiots!
After seeing Ariel, we headed over to see the Fortress Cristela, which is super cool and all high up and covered in grass, and it comes with windmills!
But speaking of the grass, we apparently were not allowed on it and one of the guards yelled at us about it...at least we are consistently getting yelled at...
By this point according to Jon's bracelet that counts how many steps we have done, we have been walking for about 12 miles, UGH!
We were starting to get super tired so we stopped for a little rest...
and a little snack...
Jeff and I had an impromptu dance party at the "Danse Bank", but on closer inspection, it said "Danske Bank", but still!
Dance Bank!
and that is when we realized we were on the other side of the city, which is about another 4-5 mile walk, F!
Needless to say when we got home...
After walking 16 miles today...
We were a little tired. Now we are going to rest for 5 seconds before heading to the Eurovision Grand Finale at City Hall. Hopefully it doesn't rain on us...again!
